The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Global Operations Manager and is positioned to manage demand and supply planning activities for the region. He/she will additionally manage the complex network of internal and external warehouses and will ensure strong alignment and cooperation with the manufacturing organization within the Business Unit Cultures. He/she manages availability, is a counterpart of the Product Manager of the applicable products in the different PMC’s. Balances value proposition (what does the business want to achieve) with the execution model (how is it going to be done) within the agreed policies and strategy. This position has 3 direct reports.

  • To complete all aspects of the sales cycle by managing the route to market through indirect approach, through specialist merchants and distributors.
  • To be able to deliver product and technical presentations to a wide range of customers and prospects.
  • To build relationships with key and influential customers.
  • To utilize web based Customer Relationship Management tool (SFDC) to log all calls, contacts, leads and opportunities
  • To maintain and to develop long term relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • To identify and visit potential new customers for new business.
  • To make accurate, rapid sales calculations, negotiating and providing customers with special pricing documentation
  • To segment and to create area plans to ensure focus on the customers in the area who create growth
  • To gather market and customer information and to provide feedback on future buying trends.
  • To represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and presentations.
  • To assist with the launch of new product introductions and Marcom campaigns
  • To assist the training and field support engineers with customer training and after-sales support services
  • To record sales meetings, activities and opportunities on the CRM system
  • To keep all relevant CRM data accurate and up to date
  • To review your own sales performance with the aim to meet or exceed targets
  • To liaise with technical experts when required
  • To be able to combine technical knowledge with sales skills

Profile

  • 5 to 8 years experience in Business Development and Sales, both in relationship management, selling and negotiating, with the ability to demonstrate a superior track record of results.
  • Previous track record of managing innovative deals with multiple variables within the Oil, Gas or Lubricants sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience of working in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong cross cultural relationship building skills.
  • Ability to build and use customer, competitor and industry intelligence.
  • Experience in recognizing new business opportunities and in building strategies.
  • Excellent Sales and negotiation skills with an excellent understanding of customer needs and their translation into offers.
  • Ready to travel 20% of the time.
  • Fluency in English is.
