The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Global Operations Manager and is positioned to manage demand and supply planning activities for the region. He/she will additionally manage the complex network of internal and external warehouses and will ensure strong alignment and cooperation with the manufacturing organization within the Business Unit Cultures. He/she manages availability, is a counterpart of the Product Manager of the applicable products in the different PMC’s. Balances value proposition (what does the business want to achieve) with the execution model (how is it going to be done) within the agreed policies and strategy. This position has 3 direct reports.

  1. As member of the Operations team, contribute in defining and developing the Operations plan for the BU, closely aligned with the business strategies and contribute to optimizing consistency and synergy.
  2. Manage and steer the short and long term demand and supply balance for business unit Cultures, via the execution (of part) of the S&OP cycle:
    a. Lead pre-S&OP meetings
    b. Effectively manage and allocate operating resources, resulting in an agreed upon demand plan, manufacturing plan, R&D plan and inventory plan.
    c. Report the realization of the plan on agreed timing and take corrective action when needed.
  3. Actively contribute in defining and implementing Customer Service Levels for the defined businesses.
  4. Manage domestic and international freight and distribution from local facilities in addition to all logistics related activities.
  5. Own the regional warehousing & physical distribution budget, costs developments, contracts and logistical performance.
  6. Lead a team in planning, order management and logistics management with a regional responsibility.
  7. Optimize asset utilization by challenging manufacturing Service Levels, identify and agree chain improvement projects with business and manufacturing management and balance asset utilization versus Operating Working Capital.
  8. Define overall inventory targets and define stock policies and optimize asset utilization in such a way for defined business that required Customer Service levels are met and Operating Working capital and TCO are minimized.
  9. Performance management: Install and maintain KPI in supply chain area, analyze the performance for the defined Businesses.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, SCM or other related field.
  • Knowledge of business steering models and business processes (S&OP).
  • Knowledge of best-in-class Supply chain Management concepts and processes.
  • APICS certification would be an asset.
  • 4-7 years of experience in order management, manufacturing and supply chain management related disciplines in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with import/export procedures and international trade.
  • Experience with project management and project leadership.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle or Supply Chain Software packages such as JDA, I2 or Manugistics.
